Now that the weather is changing and your child has probably outgrown last year's wears why not SWAP them for something that fits? Come to our community clothing swap on Motzaei Shabbat, March 29th from 8:30-10:30pm at the Bayit, 3700 Henry Hudson Pkwy Bronx, NY 10463. (Please use side door at bottom of driveway).
Bring your gently worn, clean, outgrown or unused women's, men's, and children's clothes, sandals, and winter summer and trade them for something "new". Sizes preemie, newborn and up (plus sizes too!) Maternity, nursing and baby wearing items welcome. No toys, gear or furniture please.
Children are welcome and must be supervised. Stroller parking available. For more info contact Kathy Goldstein swap@thebayit.org.
Frequently asked questions:
Must I bring items to trade if I am looking for clothes?
No, everyone who needs clothes is welcome. Our hope is to run this event twice a year and that even if you do not bring in items this time, you will “pay it forward” at future swaps.
Can I bring items even if I don’t need anything new?
Yes, however any unclaimed items will be donated at the Clothing Drive the following morning.
I cannot make it to the event, can I drop off items in advance?
No, this is a self-contained, one night only, swap meet. If you cannot make it this time, we hope to see you at future events.
What happens to clothing that is not claimed?
All surplus clothes will be donated to Furniture Assist to be given to those in need in NJ. Click here to learn more about the Clothing Drive.
