MLK Program: A Bridge to Better

Saturday, March 1, 2025 1 Adar 5785

7:45 PM - 9:30 PMRight Hand Social Hall (Lower Level)

Rescheduled from Jan 20th to Mar 1st

Please join us for an inspiring evening with Minister Allesha Plaskett and neighbors from the African-American Christian community. We will come together to learn and discuss speeches from two great leaders: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. In deference to Dr. King's and Rabbi Heschel's friendship and shared vision of unity, we are looking to build bridges between our faith communities.

Dr. King said of Rabbi Heschel: "Rabbi Heschel is one of the persons who is relevant at all times, always standing with prophetic insights."

Rabbi Heschel said of Reverend King: "His presence is the hope of America. His mission is sacred, his leadership of supreme importance to every one of us."
